Writer and reviewer / Confidential / Geneva, Genève, Switzerland

Confidential/Geneva, Genève, Switzerland

Hello,
• We're a small Content (Inbound) Marketing agency, specialised in creating high quality, recurrent content for our clients.
• We're located in Geneva, Switzerland. Our country is a little slow, we're usually about 4 years behind the US with regards to marketing technology but now, Content Marketing is starting to get traction.
• Our writing missions are clearly defined, based on an explicit content marketing strategy; for example, we use the Customer Persona technique as an essential ingredient to define a target audience. This helps writers create customer-centric work.

We've a client: a nifty SME – who're shippers in the life sciences industry. For example, they ship hearts, or viruses, or blood - usually by air - from one place to another. This requires cold chain storage and is extremely regulated by IATA.

I've sold a series of 2 articles/month over 4 months and have written two of these myself, beefing myself up with topic research.

However, I'd like to have a professional writer look at my work, maybe review it a little if needed – so that I am sure to provide top quality content to my client.

This initial review job may lead to other missions if there is agreement/interest, etc.

We're an ethical company who pay best practice rates, according to best practice payment conditions. Everyone needs to make a living in return for good work.

If you're interested in this initial reviewing/proofreading job, please make me a quote. The articles are between 1000 and 1200 words long. Example can be sent on request.

Please let me know. Thank you. Kind regards, Doris
Doris Edwards, Web Content Strategist

Love to edit? Love to write? Understand technology? Let's talk!

MailerMailer is looking for a highly organized Content Manager to edit, write and manage technology articles (data backup, cloud computing, data security, other IT topics). If you want to be appreciated for your hard work, attention to detail, and editing/writing superpowers, we want to talk to you.

Fast forward one year from today. You will have helped us:

* Hire and manage a team of part-time or freelance writers. This will include researching where to find new writers, contacting them, conducting interviews, determining level of qualification, conducting preliminary screening/testing of written aptitude, reviewing article submission, tracking progress on all writing projects and providing feedback to the writer.
* Create and aggregate content ideas.
* Create a backlog of article topics.
* Distribute work weekly to roster of writers based on these article topics.
* Discover industry web sites for generating content ideas.
* Research and determine which web resources carry the latest relevant stories.
* Create automated alerts to identify urgent story topics.
* Commission such articles to release to our clients within 24 hours of the story breaking.

Along the way, you will also:

* Create monthly content batches.
* Select articles from the backlog that meet the criteria for a monthly batch.
* Keep track of outstanding work, provide constructive feedback to writers and make sure they are on task and return work in a timely fashion.
* Identify trends in article usage and track demand from our customer base.
* Create and maintain a tagging system for all articles.
* Improve guidelines for writers. As articles are generated and mistakes are found, update the guidelines such that future writers can avoid the same problems.
* Monitor content throughout the production process and ensure that it renders properly once article batches are posted.

What we are looking for:

* People who have worked as a content writer/editor or as a managing editor
* Experience managing/supervising other writers
* Experience with technology content is extremely desirable
* This is a mid-level position

We offer a lot of flexibility to our staff. We work hard and are proud of what we do. Interested in joining our growing team? Let's talk!

Location: We are headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, just north of Washington, DC. This can be a flex job so you can work anywhere. We have a very solid remote work infrastructure in place.

How to get this job:

If you have editing/writing superpowers and would like this story to be yours, send us a copy of your resume along with some writing samples (examples: an article you wrote and one that you edited -- before and after editing).

We think your samples are much more important than your resume and we will read them first. Include your salary requirements. Thanks!
